Focused Strategy Session

The Conversation You've Been Avoiding Doesn't Have to Stay That Way.

There's a talk you've been carrying around — about the car keys, the finances, the memory lapses, the house, or what they'd want at the end. You know it needs to happen. You also know how badly it could go.

Nurse-Led 100% Confidential CARE Framework

The hardest conversations with aging parents aren't really about driving or money or memory — they're about independence, dignity, and the reversal of a lifelong role.

Walk In With
Words, Not Dread.

That's why these talks so often end in slammed doors or silence. In this session, a nurse-led elder care specialist helps you prepare for the specific conversation your family is facing — with language that protects the relationship while still moving things forward.

Common Focus Areas

Whatever conversation your family needs to have, we've helped families prepare for it.

Money & Finances

Opening the topic without it feeling like an audit.

Driving

Raising safety concerns without taking away their identity.

Memory & Cognitive Changes

Bringing it up early, gently, with a medical frame.

Moving & Housing

Exploring options before the decision becomes urgent.

End-of-Life Wishes

A conversation about being honored, not about dying.

Sibling Dynamics

Aligning the family before you sit down with your parent.

Navigating Resistance

What to do when they say "not now" or shut down entirely.

Client Experience

I'd been putting off the driving conversation with my dad for over a year — every time I imagined it, I pictured a fight. My session gave me the actual words, walked me through how to bring my brother in so we weren't contradicting each other, and pointed us to a formal driving evaluation so I wasn't the bad guy. We had the talk. It wasn't easy, but it didn't blow up. For the first time in months I'm not dreading the next visit.

Additional Specialized Sessions

Not every family needs the full session. These options meet you where you are.

Single-Conversation Prep

Focused entirely on one talk — most often driving or memory. A lighter-weight option when you know exactly which conversation you need to have and want a script for that one. 60 minutes.

The Financial Map Session

Guidance on opening the money conversation and building the one-page financial map — where the accounts, advisors, and policies live — without ever asking your parent to disclose what they have.

End-of-Life Wishes Session

A gentle, structured approach to advance-care conversations using values-based language and proven tools such as The Conversation Project, Five Wishes, and Go Wish cards.

Caregiver Strategy Session

Specialized guidance for family members and caregivers on providing effective support while protecting their own wellbeing and avoiding burnout.

Our diagnosis-specific sessions — including Parkinson's, Alzheimer's & Cognitive Support, and Medication Optimization — also remain available for families managing a specific condition.

How It Works

A simple, five-step path from "I don't know how to start this" to having had the talk.

1
Step One

Pre-Session Questionnaire

A short intake so we understand your parent's situation, the family dynamics, and the conversation you most need to have — before we meet.

2
Step Two

90-Minute Intensive Session

Connect with your specialist for a focused deep-dive on your most pressing conversation, working through the CARE framework together.

3
Step Three

Custom Script & CARE Roadmap

Receive a personalized script — what to say, what to avoid, how to handle resistance — plus a roadmap for the conversations still ahead.

4
Step Four

Implementation Resources

Access targeted resources — guides, worksheets, evaluation referrals, and tools — for when you actually sit down to talk.

5
Step Five

Follow-Up Check-In

A brief check-in two weeks after your session to debrief how the conversation went and adjust the plan for what comes next.

Beyond Your Session

The Bigger Picture

These conversations are rarely one-and-done. The families who navigate aging best treat them as an ongoing rhythm, not a single event. While your session delivers immediate value and words you can use this week, many families discover the benefit of ongoing support as their parent's needs change.

Your Path Forward After your session, you'll have several options

There's never any pressure to pursue additional services. Our goal is to provide exceptional value in every interaction, whether it's a single session or an ongoing relationship.

Frequently Asked Questions

My parent doesn't know I'm doing this. Is that okay?
Yes. This session is preparation for you. Many family members come precisely because they don't yet know how to raise the subject — that's what we help you figure out.
Can my siblings or other family join the session?
Absolutely — we encourage it. Aligning the family before you talk to your parent is one of the most powerful things you can do, and we'll help you do it on the call.
Is one session really enough?
For most families, yes — to get unstuck and have the first, hardest conversation. You're welcome to return as new conversations come up.
Is this medical, legal, or financial advice?
No. Our sessions are educational and supportive communication coaching. We help you talk with your parent and connect with the right professionals — we don't replace your physician, attorney, or financial advisor.
